I have made a few more cards over the past week or so as well as getting messy with a few other projects. After my big push of holiday card making inspired by the Holiday Card Workshop from Online Card Classes, I did take a little break, but I still need some more cards, and I couldn’t resist putting a few new purchases to use.
One of my new purchases is the adorable Sending Hedgehugs stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I tried to resist this; I really did. But I failed. Too cute. Here’s a non-holiday card I made with it.
The papers I used were included in the October Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. I used Glossy Accents over the little stamped heart, which is part of the stamp set.
This is a holiday card I started last week and kind of lost steam on, but when I saw the pieces on my work table today, I decided to finish it off.
I used an edge die by Tim Holtz for the houses and backed the windows with paper I inked yellow (because I had no yellow card stock on hand). I used clear Wink of Stella on the windows, though it doesn’t show up in the photo very well. The “snow” is Liquitex Flexible Modeling Paste, which I applied through a Heidi Swapp stencil. The sentiment stamp is by Ali Edwards.
Last but not least, I was inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog to do a seasonal thank-you card. I had fun making the fall wreath with the Lawn Fawn Deck the Halls stamp set and coordinating dies.
I promise to be back soon with some work that’s not a card, if you can believe it. I’ve been playing with Gelli prints, doing some art journaling, and making some Christmas ornaments.
