Spring Shooting

It’s greening up here in Connecticut, and I’m especially enjoying the new bird activity around our yard. Last week I spotted two birds I’d never identified before, both warblers. One didn’t cooperate for the camera, but I was able to capture this one:

I also heard and glimpsed a Pileated Woodpecker, but I wasn’t able to get a good shot. My ears are tuned to their raucous calls, though, and I’m hopeful I’ll get a chance at a good picture before too long.

More mundane (to me) birds have also been plentiful, and I’m almost as happy to get a good Catbird or Phoebe shot as I am to get something more unusual.
