I was having a pretty blah day on Wednesday when the mail guy came down the driveway with my July card kit from Simon Says Stamp and turned my day around. I am loving this kit–the colors are great, it comes with a nifty SSS red ink pad, the stamp set is fun, and I’m having a ball with it.
This is the first card I made with the kit. I stamped the sentiment, from the kit stamp set, with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I stamped the envelopes on dot patterned paper in the Lipstick Red ink from Simon Says Stamp that came with the kit and added the little heart stamp to one of the envelopes. The puffy priority mail sticker seemed to fit just right up there, maybe because I messed up the size of the blue patterned paper–a happy mistake, as it happened.
Here I used a Martha Steward “punch anywhere” punch to punch the window in the floral paper, backed it with the dotty paper, and punched out the stamped hello to stick in the window.
Sweet and simple: the hello is die cut with a Simon Says Stamp die from patterned paper from the kit, glued to “hello” paper from the kit, matted on that nice dark blue card stock, all on a white card. I just love the clean look of these colors together. (My son called this one “greety” thanks to all the hellos on the background paper.
“Greedy?” I asked.
Ah, got it. “Greety” it is!
